i could say “hello, i love you” or “hello, i miss you” or even “hello, you’re the only one who can make me feel better.” i would happily spend all of my time with you. just to be near you, to see you smile, to hear your laugh, to smell your skin, to watch tv together, to do nothing, anything… but i won’t. occasionally, we will just say “hi” and leave it at that.

candle lit showers, and simple pizza dinners, netflix movies, and horrible tv shows. staying up late or going to bed early, sleeping in or waking up early, holding hands while driving, kisses at stop lights, late night couch sessions, early morning goodbyes, the simple joy of waking up to your smile, watching you play with you macbook, staying up to watch you edit a film due the next day, long drives and broken down cars, holding your hand while you are in pain, whiping your tears and holding you close, writting notes on your back while you fall asleep, watching your real smile, and cherishing the image that is burned into my brain…

i guess i never enjoyed these little things, now as i look back these are the things that made you perfection to me.

as each hour passes i learn to cherish each thing you have done, each smile you blessed me with, each kiss you left on my forehead and each moment you looked into my eyes.
